A cottage garden and sculptural pool terrace bring together crisp lines, generous curves and relaxed outdoor living.
Curved pool edge and circular spa
Sheltered seating area with fire table
A dark fence gives the compact front garden a sheltered, cottage-like character. Simple bluestone slabs and planting in shades of green and deep purple establish an intimate approach to the house.
In the rear garden, retaining the existing kidney-shaped pool became the central design opportunity. Broad bands of bluestone alternate with strips of lawn, creating a linear framework that gives the pool's organic curves a deliberate, sculptural presence.
A few steps below, angular concrete slabs lead to a gathering area with a fire feature set within a basin of glass beads. A television concealed in the retaining wall rises for outdoor viewing, supporting summer movies and autumn evenings beneath blankets.
